I'd be happy to share some recipes for homemade Hamburger Helper. Here are a few of my favorite:
1. Classic Cheesy Macaroni: Start by browning ground beef, onions and garlic in a large skillet. Once the beef is cooked through, add in 1 cup of cheese and mix until melted. Add 4 cups of uncooked macaroni noodles, 2 tablespoons tomato paste and 2 ½ cups chicken broth or water (plus more if needed). Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes until noodles are tender. Sprinkle with additional cheese before serving!
2. Tex Mex Fiesta: In a large skillet over medium heat cook 1 lb ground beef, 1 diced onion and 2 cloves minced garlic until the beef is no longer pink; drain off any excess fat. Then add 3 tablespoons chili powder, 1 teaspoon oregano and ¼ teaspoon cumin along with one 7 oz can diced green chiles; stir to combine everything together completely then let it simmer for 5 minutes before adding 3 cups chicken broth or water (plus more if necessary). Finally, stir in 4 oz uncooked elbow macaroni noodles plus salt & pepper as desired then bring it back up to boiling point before reducing heat again to low/simmering setting; cover pan with lid and let that cook an additional 10-15 minutes so the pasta is tender when served topped with your favorite toppings like shredded cheese or jalapeno peppers!
3. Italian Sausage Lasagna Soup: Heat a large pot over medium high heat then add 2 tablespoons olive oil followed by 8 oz Italian sausage (ground); use wooden spoon while breaking up meat into small pieces while cooking through – should take about 6-7 minutes total time here including stirring throughout process plus draining away any excess fat once finished cooking!. Next add in chopped vegetables like carrots & celery plus one minced clove garlic; sauté these vegetables together another 3-4 minutes or just until they start becoming slightly softened up from cooking process going on here so far!. Once that’s done go ahead now & pour in 6 cups chicken broth along with 14oz can crushed tomatoes plus 15oz jar Marinara sauce too into same pot which should be still hot from previous steps taken already here… Stir those ingredients all together well making sure nothing sticks at bottom either way – this soup should look nice red hue color wise after combined correctly!, Now finally last step involves adding uncooked lasagna sheets broken into smaller pieces directly inside soup itself - Simmer uncovered for about 20 mins on low/medium settings stirring occasionally meanwhile until lasagne has become fully cooked also during same time frame too.. Serve warm topped with freshly grated Parmesan Cheese optional yet recommended as well!.
