Easy Crockpot Recipes for Busy Moms - No Shredded Chicken or Pot Roast

I like to do a Boston Butt Pork Roast - all I add is a can of cream of mushroom soup. Let it cook on low all day while I’m at work. I do the potatoes carrots onion or whatever veggies you want when I get home from work in the broth from the roast. If I have time I do that in the crockpot - if not I put it in the oven. Once we eat on this for dinner I use the leftover roast 3 different ways. We make sandwiches, I use some and make bbq and some I use the packaged brown gravy mix and make opened faced roast sandwiches. Only 2 of us so a roast goes a long way and we don’t get as tired of it doing these different ways.

A layer of sweet onion on bottom of crock pot.
3-4 lb. corned beef w/spice packet, placed on top of sliced onions
Add a couple of bay leaves and some more dried dill
Add chicken broth, dark beer, or plain water aBout 1/4way up the corned beef.
Add small red potatoes
On low for 8 hours
At about an half hour before ready to serve, add some small carrots and/or cabbage.
Put meat on plate, let rest. Then slice. Use the juice from cooking as a dipping sauce or just pour over meat.
I like vinegar on my cabbage. Butter on the potatoes. Carrots by themselves.
And you have a “house candle” when you arrive home!

I like this website. You do all the prep up front for several recipes and freeze before cooking. Saves a ton of time and tastes fresher when you cook it.
Here are a few things I've learned about meal prepping this way:
‐I add better than bouillon to the bags (so I only have to add water on the day of cooking)
-I prefer to cook any ground meat before freezing (so I can drain the grease).
-I don't freeze potatoes (because they can discolor) or dairy (because I don't like the taste after it thaws). I just add them the day of cooking if they are part of the recipe.
-I bought baggy stands from Amazon, and they are a huge help!

Not quite hitting your mark other than super easy and yummy. Add chicken breast, a jar of salsa, a can of green chilies, black beans (rinsed), (and I used a can of cream of celery soup, but it could be omitted.) Cook on high until chicken ready to shred. Remove chicken to shred and add a block of cream cheese. Melt and stir together and serve.

Get a roast add one can golden mushroom or 2 and packet of onion dip mix. I carrot, corn, onions and potatoes. Slow cook all day. Oh, add some water also. Best roast and gravy and so simple. Good luck, this recipe goes back many years.

Not Stuffed Cabbage - meatballs (1 lb ground meat of choice, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, onion powder, garlic powder, milk or half & half plus 1 egg), 28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes mixed with chicken or beef broth or bouillon and water. Season liquid with salt (skip if using bouillon), pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, add meatballs and chopped cabbage. When done, taste for salt and serve over rice.
