Spinach dip!
3 boxes frozen spinach..drain well overnight and squeeze out all moisture!
1 1/2cup sour cream
1 1/2 cup miracle whip...this is the only thing I use miracle whip for.. Trust me
1 1/2 tsp each garlic powder, onion salt, and dill..or more
Black pepper, hot sauce..A few drops
6 green onions, chopped
1red pepper, chopped
1can water chestnuts, drained and chopped ..sometimes I use radishes instead..I often just chop all veg at once in food processor
Mix everything but the spinach..I just use a gallon zippie..I like to do this the night before while the spinach drains..keep overnight in fridge so flavors develop
Mix in spinach the next morning..adjust for seasoning if necessary.. Sometimes it needs salt
I hollow out a round loaf and toast it and its croutons in the oven, then cool.and fill the bread with dip, serving bread chunks or cubes on the side
I like it best with dark rye or pumpernickel
