@att some people actually live in what’s called “food deserts” often a grocery store is over 50 miles away. So food prices do vary by demographic locations.
@basia that makes sense. I'd love to get the frozen fajitas, but where I live, it's more expensive because of the convenience. I buy the preseasoned, uncooked ones for way cheaper
@att I’m in mass, no food desert here in my section, but some sections yes, , but some states, even inner city like Chicago west side for example , they have food deserts. Some kiddos in Chicago can’t even go to high school in their own neighborhood due to no funding, so they have to go to school 15 mile away. And parents have to either shop a convenience store, or get to a store that’s closer to them, and often price or selection isn’t the greatest. Not trying to toss Chicago south side under the bus so to speak, but I recently watched the 1 hour video of their distress of basic resources. So food deserts are often seen in large cities as well, not just the corn fields of Idaho. From my understanding this group was formed by group admin to ensure to also account for communities across the country and the world who are in food desert area.
I don't like walmart.. I don't find them cheaper than other places to buy groceries (I only buy things on sale) ever been to publix, their buy one get one (if you don't need two, one is half price) I always Payless than Walmart
@oshulten I switched to buying online and picking up at store because it was way cheaper. When I buy online, I only get what I need and not what I see and put in the cart.
@oshulten Walmart curbside pick up is free and you get the same in store prices. I only have one credit card and it's a Walmart MasterCard so when I do a curbside order it counts as an online order and I get my 5% cashback. So I can easily order my groceries while I'm at work on a break, and pick them up after work. It saves me so much time, and I get the cash back, it only makes sense.
Wow, and I have the chase disney rewards card and going next week on site for a week for less than 600 dollars with park passes..and a capital one that give me cash back.. the point
