Any meats you bake or fry, let rest a minimum of ten minutes. Chicken will be better the longer you let it rest. Steaks need a minimum of ten minutes (depending on doneness you like steaks, incorporate the rest time in the cook time, because you want to cover the steaks while resting them.)
Easy steak marinade:
Enough Worcestershire sauce to cover steaks, can add a bit of water to stretch it
Steak seasoning of your choice, I like spicy Montreal steak seasoning
A tsp of vinegar
A tblsp of oil
Marinade steaks in mixture for no less than thirty minutes. I usually do it for a minimum of an hour. If using a container to marinade the steaks in, flip all the steaks over at least halfway through the marinade process time.
When the steaks are ready to cook, whether frying, broiling, or grilling, remove steaks from marinade and allow for the marinade to drip off as much as possible. If you have a wire rack for cooling cookies off, you can place them on that over your sink and then let them drip for a few minutes. That keeps the steaks from boiling when cooking them.
