Creative Rice & Noodle Recipes (No Casserole or Spaghetti!)

PEPPER STEAK IN A CROCK POT
Ingredients
2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 2 inch strips
¾ teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cube beef bouillon
¼ cup hot water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ cup chopped onion
2 large green bell peppers, roughly chopped
1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Directions
Sprinkle beef sirloin strips with garlic powder. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear beef strips, about 5 minutes per side. Transfer to a slow cooker.
Mix bouillon cube with hot water in a separate container until dissolved, then mix in cornstarch until dissolved. Pour into the slow cooker with beef strips. Stir in onion, green peppers, stewed tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, and salt.
Cover, and cook on High for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low for 6 to 8 hours.
 
Rice bowls, rice, tomatoes, black beans, corn, salsa, cheese, lime, onion, chicken/beef/shrimp. Eat plain or with chips/tortilla.
 
We like to make bow tie noodles (or any you like) mix in all ur pasta sauce and beef then put in a dish add shredded cheese of ur preference (we like fiesta or taco blend) then bake it’s good asf
 
I put steak tips with a can of cream of mushroom and an onion soup packet, 8oz in the crockpot.
Sometimes I add corn starch to thicken.
Put this over white rice.
You can also add onions and celery to the crock pot.
 
Pilaf! Sautee butter, garlic, chicken soup base, pepper, finely chopped carrot, celery and onion. Carmelize this together and then stir into ur cooked rice or cook it with ur rice. Its delicious!
 
Cilantro rice - cook rice normally and then add in salt, lime juice (fresh or from bottle), and chopped cilantro to taste. I use this to make homemade chipotle burrito bowls. I add cilantro rice, black beans, salsa, avocados, black olives, and shredded cheese to my bowls.
 
Lazy man cabbage roll.  All you do is mix rice and ground beef, half and half put it in a baking pan and with some caramelized onion and cabbage and then put either canned tomato, tomato soup tomato paste, tomato juice or whatever tomato u like on top and bake until bubbly and your cabbage is cooked and browned on top and it’s all kind of bubbly together and some of the juices are cooked down. Voila! Delicious!
