Seeking Classic Chocolate Icing Recipe for Yellow Cake – My Dad’s Favorite from Childhood!

There was a chocolate frosting recipe that was on a Wilderness Cherry Pie filling label years ago that went with a cherry chocolate cake.
I make it and it comes out simply marvelous.
Frosting:
1 c sugar, 5 Tbsp margarine or butter, 1/2 cup milk.
Stir and bring to a boil. Simmer and cook for one minute. Remove from heat and add 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate morsels.
Stir until well dissolved and pour over sheet cake. Allow to cool before slicing but don’t wait until it is cold because it will break.
