Simplifying Monthly Meal Planning: My Printable Meal List & Calendar Strategy

To make my monthly meal planning easier I printed off a list of meals I regularly make. This list is divided by chicken (first column), beef and misc (second column). I have 5 picky kids so we don’t do a lot of fancy meals that they won’t eat…
At the beginning of each month I print and blank calendar page and try to fill it in for the month.

@chloe25726 unfortunately the orange chicken recipe I use is from a cookbook called Instantloss and I’m not allowed to share the recipe online. Although occasionally I use the frozen precooked orange chicken.

3 ingredient orange chicken.
1 cup orange marmalade
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
3 T soy sauce.
Fry up chicken bites and then coat in sauce, serve over rice.
Really easy and good

I wish I could afford too offer my family this much meat , typically we only have meat once or twice a week . Rest of the week is vegetarian based meals.

@bridge2 thankfully my husband does have a good job that we are able to offer our children meat for one meal a day, most of the time. The downside is he is gone for 6 months of the year…
Do you have any kid friendly vegetarian recipes?

Thomas Sigman Huspot is a Dutch meal. It’s mashed potatoes mixed with mashed carrots. Sometimes served with a bit of sausage. There are other variations the most common is potatoes and kale.

What's welfing rice? Sorry, tried to Google but only welding stuff popping up, even after specifying I meant welfing

@prubrenue Welfing rice is a family recipe passed down from my husband’s grandma. It’s just ground beef, tomato sauce, spices and rice all mixed together. I can share the recipe if you are interested.
