Just 2 of us and we eat one real meal a day. But I like to keel it simple. I find the Stouffers frozen dinners are delicious and filling. Usually on sale … $6 for 2 dinners. Hubby can have whatever he wants and me too. We also have breakfast for dinner one night a week.

My mom always made crumbled hamburg drain the fat after browning pour in can of tomato soup serve over instant minute rice. We were poor, but never knew it. Buy a rotisserie chicken in evening at store when they mark them down or 2, all cooked and seasoned shred all meat off and portion it in freezer bags you can use it so many ways . Soup or quesidilla or Alfredo. I buy the dry pk gravy packets for chicken, beef, chili, etc canned cream of chicken, celery, mushroom also search Google for food pantries in your area, we have 5~8 we use a month. We are in our 60s it stocks my fridge freezer and pantry.

I made this for cards yesterday, recipe from Jacky P videos.
Layer cheese tortellini or whatever tortellini you like , Then layer fresh spinach, can of diced petite tomatoes 🍅, place 8 oz cream cheese, season way you like , the meat is Gilbert’s brand Caprese chicken sausage ( whatever sausage you like) , onion 🧅 ( I left out ) , use 1/2 to 3/4 chicken or vegetable broth or stock pour over top in crockpot.
Says cook 2 hours take cover off stir and mix cover cook for another 1/2 hour ………..
Very delicious this fed 6 adults and one 8 year old child .
When we ate though we all though tortellini little mushy.
So I recommend cooking only 1 1/2 , stirring, but no more than 2 hours.
The other suggestion was to withhold putting in the tortellini until about 45 minutes before done ✅ cooking……….
I will make this one again .
You can divide this recipe in half for your family needs .

Buy rotisserie chicken at Walmart or your super market may have them too. You can eat it like that paired up with potatoes or pasta and veggie of your choice,or just with a salad and some bread. Or slice the breast and make sandwiches. If you don't use all the chicken, debone chop up add diced onion diced celery and mayo to make chicken salad sandwiches.

Watch for meat on sale. There's a ton of stuff you can make with hamburger. Like someone suggested before buy some cookbooks at thrift stores or rummage sales. Good Luck and happy eating!!

You also need to eat more then once a day!! Eggs are cheap and good for you. Can eat them for any meal. Boil a few, chop up and diced onions, salt and pepper and some miracle whip and make egg salad sandwiches. Cold boiled eggs are good too. I put my eggs in a kettle, cover with water, bring to a boil, then turn off and leave set for 15 to 20 minutes. Drain off hot water and put cold water on them, then peel.

Time to plant some seeds. Anyone can grow a hot house tomato. Also need to visit your local food pantry. You need more balance in your diet to avoid illness and disease. The fact that you have no appetite is very telling. You tube is loaded down with easy cooking tutorials. Anyone can cook. Just takes patience and time.
