Chicken and rice. There's so many different ways you can make each. Also look for s rotisserie chicken, usually cheaper and easier since it's already cooked. And throw in a side of any canned veggie
 
I recently made Tator Tot Casserole. Have not done it for years and it was so good!
This time I skipped the onion and used Cream of Onion soup. And did not put the cheese on top. So make it how you think sounds good.
1 lb Ground Beef
1/4-1/2 c. Diced onion - optional
Salt and pepper to taste
10.75 oz cream of any soup
2 - 14.5 oz cans green beans (drained)
16 oz Frozen Tater Tots
2 c. Shredded Cheddar Cheese - optional
Preheat oven to 350°
Cook and stir ground beef and diced onion, if using, in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink and completely browned. Drain, & rinse if meat is greasy. Season with salt and black pepper.
Stir soup into the cooked ground beef. Then stir in green beans.
Pour mixture into greased 9x13-inch pan.
Layer tater tots evenly over ground beef.
Bake until tater tots are golden brown and hot, about 40 - 45 minutes.
If using, top with cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer.
 
Sushi Bowl
Layer in a bowl: cooked rice, seaweed sheet, cucumber, avocado, and tuna. Pour yum-yum sauce over it and top with fried onions.
Try serving with soy sauce or wasabi.
Try with any veggie.
Could substitute fried rice, salmon, crab (or imitation crab), or teriyaki sauce.
 
Hit the button by accident. Cut up beef into nite size or smaller pieces. Coat in flour fry them on a bug pot a few at a time.with salt and pepper. No crowding!
When all pieces are browned,put back into pot. Add cut up onion. Fry up a bit .
Add broth fron a boullion cube ( cheap ),a tetra of broth or water. If you jusy add water you may need to throw in cann gravy layer.
Now add chopped potato , sweet potato, celery, carrots, turnip or frozen peas. Whatever you have. Cheap syew here has onions, potato ,carrots and beef . To pick up glavour, add a tablespoon of thyme crushed between your hands, a quarter teaspoon of garlic powder or salt black pepper,and a teaspoon of oregano. Dome would add a can of tomato paste.
