Simplifying Monthly Meal Planning: My Printable Meal List & Calendar Strategy

I use Costco jar of butter chicken sauce. One jar will do 2 meals for use and I freeze the rest of the sauce for next time.

Thanks for the ideas! I’ve been compiling a list of things we’ll all eat as they get older, so this helps give ideas of things to try. I can’t do monthly plants, though, because our schedule is so unpredictable. I try to do weekly and adjust as needed.

@bluze I was doing weekly meal plans for years. I just started the monthly plan last summer and I don’t think I have had a week that something hasn’t changed. But I’m okay with being flexible.

@peytonsmom I do this as well, I used to try to do it all myself. Now I put it in a sheet protector and with a highlighter have each of my kids and my husband pick a few dinners. If there are things I need to use up, I will pick first.

I write my monthly meal plan out on a blank calendar page to each month. But I never thought to organize it by protein first. Smart! Gonna have to do that, I have a ton of beef I need to use up!

@wore Nasi is an Indonesian rice dish. Very yummy.
Welfing rice is a homemade concoction with basically a dry spaghetti sauce, rice, diced bacon, and garnished with an egg and pickles

If your kids eat everything on this list then I don’t think they are all that picky. All sounds good to me. 👍
