Soft Sugar Cookie Cut-Outs Recipe + Frosting Tips!

We really like this one! They come out soft, we just take them out a few minutes early. Seems like our oven cooks fast.
 
I just made half batch of this one yesterday. Cream the butter and sugar, add the eggs and vanilla, stir in baking powder. Finally mix in flour. Bake at 350 for 6-10 min depending on thickness. I rolled mine 1/4 in thick and baked for 9 min. Sugar cookies you don’t want them to start to brown like chocolate chip. You also want to make sure you don’t over load the pan.
 
Everyone loves my moms sugar cookies they beg for the recipe. The trick is how you bake them. You roll dough out thicker. You under bake them by 2 or 3 min. Everyone thought my mom made her frosting but it was can frosting.
 
My grandma always did the powdered sugar with vanilla and a very little water or milk so it looks liquid at first let the icing dry on cookie and of course you can add colors also with dye
