Best Sugar Cookie Recipes for Soft and Fluffy Cookies!

I love this recipe... it's so easy! https://www.facebook.com/share/v/146hWDVqzsfJCcvH/?mibextid=CmRSLE (this was Remembrance Day but she used the same recipe for Xmas).
Recipe:
1 cup of softened butter or margerine
1.5 cups of sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla extract
3 + 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Cream butter and sugar.
Mix wet ingredients.
In separate bowl, combine dry ingredients.
Mix together.
Cover and chill dough for 30mins-1hr.
Preheat oven to 400°.
Roll out, cut shapes, and bake for 10mins or until edges just start to brown.
Let cool and decorate with cookie icing.

Take them out when they're just barely cooked even still a little doughy in the middle. They finish cooking when u take them out of the oven

Tips that helped me was:
1. Make sure your dough size is equal as much as possible. Don’t have some slim some thick, or a 1” ball with a 1.5" ball.
2. It’s better to go minimum time than longer. (Obviously depending on where you live and your elevation. I live in Indiana and if I cook cookies full time they’re almost always dry. But if I do the shortest time and pull them immediately, letting the rest on the pan a few minutes lets them bake a little longer yet set at the same time.
Hope this helps! Keep trying, it took me years and my husband now says, “And you always say you can’t bake cookies.”☺️ They’re pretty good!
