1 cup salted butter (COLD!)
1 cup sugar
Cream together for 2-5 minutes
Add 1 egg and 2 tsp vanilla and continue to cream together for another 2-5 minutes.
Add 3 cups AP flour and 2 tsp baking powder
Mix until dough forms.
Cut/shape them EXACTLY how you want them. They don't rise much and the don't spread at all! So only roll the dough to however thick you want them. No chilling required!!
Baking depends on how thick you made them, but probably 350⁰ for 5-7 minutes. Don't wait for them to get golden, just when they stop looking raw... you might have to play with the time to find where you prefer them!
