Creative Rice & Noodle Recipes (No Casserole or Spaghetti!)

I like doctored rice as a side. Results are endless. Just prepare rice and keep on hand already cooked. One night toss cooked rice into a pan and stir fry with a bit of oil and butter. Add chopped onion, peppers any color (each lends a distinct flavor), shaved almonds, fresh or frozen peas, leftover mixed vegetables, any combination. Use your imagination with spices. Cruise your kitchen for ideas. I find rice more versatile than potatoes and complimentary to any meat. For added fun experiment with desserts and salads using cold cooked rice. Works well with fruits and vegetables. Add it to thin soups and add to ground beef dishes instead of bread crumbs. If you get the groove on you will be buying rice in big 25 lb bags. I highly recommend basmati rice as a good replacement for most other rices on the market.

Rice 1 cup a Tbsp of butter brown add a cup of water and bullion cubes chicken or beef cover and stir periodically when they water has absorbed in the rice test doness if not completely done add a little more water and stir til done or it will stick and burn
You can cook rice or pasta in broth instead of water for more flavor also add seasoning experiment with different ones til you find out what you like

My favorite breakfast is eggs over easy on white rice. Sometimes we have sausage or bacon on the side. Adding a few snack size sheets of seaweed cut into strips is also very good.
You can also add sliced mushrooms into rice when you make it, then add a can of cream of mushroom soup.
 
Creamy Chicken Italiano
2-4 Chicken Breasts
8 oz Cream Cheese
1 Can of Cream of Chicken
1 Dry Packet of Italian dressing packet
Dump meal in the a Crockpot stir and cook on Low for 4-6 hours! Serve over egg noodles
 
We do pork or chicken rice stir fry type thing lol
*Dice up pork or chicken
*in a skillet Cook meat in some butter or oil of your liking and season to your preference
*start your rice
*once it’s just about cooked add cut up baby carrots-add some water if needed and out lid on
*once carrots are almost done, add cut up broccoli
*add your favorite teriyaki sauce and some more water
Once broccoli is done, you can either add the rice into the skillet and stir or put the mixture over a bed of rice
We all love it and eat it frequently
 
Hamburger, brown gravy and rice or you. Can use noodles instead. You can also use hamburger cream celery or cream mushroom and rice or noodles, you can make chicken and egg noodles.with cream of chicken or cream of mushroom,
 
You can also use chicken ramen noodles with the packet sauces ,add can or boiled chicken and add cheese to it so good , grandkids love it so does my kids
 
I highly recommend looking up makhani. It's a Punjabi sauce recipe and it's amazing. I make it with paneer (Indian cottage cheese) but im sure you could make it with whatever protein you want. Serve over rice!
 
Google Paula Dean’s shrimp and rice casserole. Shrimp, sharp cheddar, wild rice, and other goodies. It is sooooooo gooooood!! We have eaten it as a main dish alongside a salad, and we’ve also eaten it as a side to grilled steak.
