Looking for Easy, Foolproof Homemade Bread Recipes

I really want to make homemade breads but have never been able to get it right, I get really intimidated by it, can y'all share easy fool proof recipes please!! Tia

You can buy frozen loaf's of bread. You just rise and bake. Makes the whole house smell like homemade bread and is yummy. I like to rub mine down with butter and Italian seasoning while still frozen.

@xtnbill sorry I don't have any on hand right now, it comes in an orange bag with four to five loaves in it... should be right with your frozen dinner rolls and other bread items..

The rising dough always got me, until I used a hot towel over a glass bowl. You can go by directions, then when it's time for rising...use hot water in the rising bowl, drain, dry, add dough by instructions. Place hot damp, not dripping towel to top and place in microwave til proofed.

What really helped me a LOT was when I learned that your water temp, when too hot, will kill the yeast - no bueno.
If the water temp is too cold, it won't kill the yeast, it will just slow the fermentation and the dough will take longer to rise.
I make my pizza dough and let it rise in the fridge for 3+ days for incredible flavor development.

2 C. Flour
1 1/2 t. Yeast
1 1/2 t. Sugar
1 t. Salt
1 T. Vegetable Oil (I use EVOO)
3/4 C. Water
Use the kneading blade on your Mixmaster and mix for several minutes.
Dump dough in an oiled bowl, spray surface with cooking spray, cover, and let retard in the fridge for at least 3 days (up to 5).

Another game-changing tip for pizza making - BAKING STEEL preheated at 550 for 1 hour. The BAKING STEEL is spendy, but totally ups your pizza game!

PERFECT WHITE BREAD
Soften 1 pkg. active dry yeast in 1/4 c. warm water (110 F.). Combine 2 c. scalded milk, 2 T. sugar, 2 t. salt, and 1 T. shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in 2 c. flour, beat well. Add yeast and mix. Add enough flour (3 3/4 c. - 4 1/4 c.) to make moderately stiff dough. Knead 8-10 minutes. Shape in ball, place in greased bowl, cover, let rise until double - 1 1/4 hrs. Punch down, cut in two, cover, and let rest for 10 minutes. Shape in loaves, put in greased pans, cover, and let rise until double. Bake at 400 F. for 35 minutes or until done. Remove from the pan and brush the tops with butter.
