How to Cook a Tender Pot Roast: Tips and Recipes for a 3lb Chuck Roast Using Slow Cooker, Pressure Cooker, or Oven

@nataliie yes, I do mine almost the same way, just at 275 instead. Always comes out soooo juicy, tender, and flavorful. My dad loved so much, he went out to buy a Dutch oven to start making his the same way!

@orangelight before I had my Dutch ovens, I used a cast iron skillet for the stovetop part and then put it all in a 9X13 pan and covered with foil. Works just fine that way too.

Sear, put in crock fat side up so that as it cooks it makes the meat moist, about a cup of broth and your veggies. Perfect every time!

Put Italian dressing on it slow cook it or there is an Italian dry mix u get and then add banna peppers on top slow cook

Tender pot roast & reasonable about of time don’t belong in the same sentence. The longer and lower heat it cooks, the more tender. Crock pot for 8 hours, low heat.
I also always do a top round roast. My fav is top with sliced 1/2c butter, sprinkle with au jus packet, sprinkle with dry ranch packet, and add 6ish pepperocinis
