Seeking the Ultimate Mashed Potatoes Recipe for Thanksgiving – Share Your Best!

I put alot of things depends on what is available. I never have used heavy creme not even sure what it is. But I put mayonnaise, to use less butter. It's so expensive and we use alot of butter. If I have sour creme I'll add it if I have creme cheese ill add some of that also. Salt and pepper of course. Then I taste see what else I need more of. And it's usually salt or pepper.
 
Yukon Gold potatoes. Start with those, peel and chop, boil in water with a pinch of salt under tender. Drain thoroughly, throw back into your pot with: Real Butter, Half and Half, Coarse* black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon salt, some chopped chives, and some sour cream. After you mash them, grease a baking dish. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Now comes my mom's secret: Add 1 beaten egg to the mashed potatoes. Mix together, pour into the baking dish and slide into the oven for about 25 minutes or until the top becomes a light golden brown.
