I dont add the parmesan cheese. And instead of putting in the oven, I warm in the crockpot to free up space in there. Best potatoes ever and you can make a day or 2 before!
Take 8-10 potatoes cook and mash them and put them in crockpot with 8 oz sour cream, 8 oz cream cheese, and a stick of butter. Season with spices of choice. You can make it the night before and reheat in the morning.
I make mine the day before and bake them the day of. I add butter, half and half (instead of milk). After I get them all mashed up and creamy, I add shredded cheese and incorporate. I place in a baking dish and bake them the next day. My family loves them.
