I just made a cabbage soup. I used a smoked turkey leg for the stock usually around 5 to 6 bucks, they give off lots of meat too. Onions, carrot, celery satueed with olive oil, salt pepper & garlic, for 5 min the add the turkey leg and let go another 5 to minutes on low covered. Now add water. I use a 8 qt pot. leave 2 & 1/2 inches at top. then add a splash of vinegar, splash hot sauce, chile flakes, garlic powder. I add 2 large spoons of knorr chicken powder, let go on med to high heat low boil, 45 min. the turkey leg will be easy to break apart & debone. Then add potatoes & turkey meat back in for 20 min. The last 10 min add the cabbage.
