The Best Main Course Cabbage Recipes – Affordable & Healthy!

I brown hamburger using garlic powder or salt whichever you have on hand. Drain the hamburger. Add chopped cabbage. Add enough water to where you start seeing it through the cabbage. Add more garlic to your liking. Cover and cook until cabbage is done. I like to add mustard to my serving.
 
Cut up cabbage ( like Cole slaw size) chop red onion , bell pepper , tomato , add 2 can chicken breast , salt , pepper and garlic powder all to taste then mix in a regular size bottle of lite ranch dressing. Mix well and refrigerate to let all the flavors meld together. Eat in bowls like a salad or roll in a wrap. Excellent no cook meal ! Great in summertime heat !
 
Cut 1/4 piece off and slice it very, very thin, 1 T of evoo or butter and sautee10 minutes on med heat, throw in cubed chicken or keilbasa or shrimp s/p the last 7 minutes, constantly stir
 
I DO make cabbage rolls. BUT instead of cooking them in tomato juice, I use Bold and Spicy Bloody Mary Mix. Another level!!!! Freeze well too
 
I just cut it up and fry it in a bit of bacon grease, season it and when its done make you a pan of cornbread...you can also boil it this way, for added flavor add fried bacon cut up to your cabbage..both ways are delicious!

I grate cabbage and put it on sandwiches for crunch, I cut into 4 triangles, boil, salt pepper, vinegar to eat as a side vegetable with some white onion rings on top…I fry it with a bit of bacon and onions and eat as is.,,I make cabbage rolls, cabbage soup, I boil the leaves until close to soft and make pork tacos with left over roast. I boil til soft put some cottage cheese and lyoner lunch meat, roll up..cabbage is just so versatile.
 
Buy a boneless pork roast and cut up like stew meat. Fry in oil with onions. Add 1-2 chopped green peppers and celery. Add some water to soften and simmer til softened, add chopped cabbage, simmer. Add water to keep simmering. Add 2-3 Tbsp soya sauce. Simmer til flavored. Add s & p to taste. Add 1-2 tbsp sugar. Simmer all til pork and veggies are cooked. Serve with rice and more soya sauce as desired.
