Tips for Cooking Boneless Pork Shoulder in Dutch Oven (No BBQ Sauce)

To cook in Dutch oven, add about a cup of broth, salt and pepper. Bake low and slow 325°-350° for several hours until it is fall apart tender. If pan starts to go dry add more broth.

@yellowbadgermoon ,I do the same thing. But rough chop a green pepper and large onion and just throw them in also. I then add 12oz. of Coca-Cola. This makes some outstanding pulled pork with some sautéed veggies to go with it on sandwiches!!! VERY GOOD. The only variation I do if I have time is cube the pork and brown it prior to slow cooking to add another level of flavor.

I do it like my gramma did ...mix flour s&w coat the whole roast heavily put a small amount of oil in bottom of a cast iron skillet ..you could use your dutch oven ..add a little water cover loosely with foil bake at 350 for a couple hours depending on weight of roast uncover and let top bet nice and crispy remove and make gravy with pan drippings

Low n slow, shred it and sauté some onions n peppers, toss in some diced chiles, and make some enchiladas..
seasonings: cayenne, smoked paprika, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, salt n pepper, and any other Mexicana flavor/heat to taste.
Homemade or canned enchilada sauce and shredded cheese if your liking.
Shred it and make pork gravy over taters, bread, rice or noodles
Roast it with root veggies you like.

I cook them with a lipton onion soup packet & water ( you could use 2). I usually use a crockpot & cook on low all day then they are tender for shredding the meat. Use in rice, pastas, sandwiches, on baked potatoes & any recipes you have.
