Looking for Easy, Cheap, and Delicious Recipes for College Students

Pizza bagels
Bagels
Cheese
Sauce
Pepperoni or other toppings you like
Bake at 400 for 8-10 mins (can also do pita bread mini pizzas instead of bagels)
Microwave baked potatoes with canned chili or cottage cheese on top
Spaghetti
Refried beans burritos- tortillas, refried beans (add a little water to thin them up) and cheese wrap and bake 400 for 10-15 min
These also warm up pretty good in microwave if you make a big batch. Can also add chicken or ground beef
Quesadillas (my family likes to dip with applesauce or could make a pizza flavored quesadilla)
grilled cheese can serve with tomato soup
Rotisserie chickens(Costco or Sam's club are super cheap)- use it for sandwiches, in your quesadillas, eat with rice and veggies, add to ramen with some peas and carrots. One chicken would probably last a couple meals.
These are all things my husband and I ate in our poor college days and don't take much time in the kitchen

Aluminum foil on cookie sheet with edges, skin & cut 1 inch 'discs' of sweet potato, cut kielbasa or raw chicken strips, bag of frozen Brussel sprouts - lt drizzle all with (olive) oil, seasonings, cook 25 min 350, cook longer if chicken needs it. My best to you! Focus on class by class, make study buddies, find a local college youth group (found my best friends & husband there 😉, 30+ years ago!)

Mexican tater tot casserole
Brown a pound to a pound and a half of hamburger with chopped onion. Once there is no more pink in the meat and the onions are soft drain. Put back in pan and add a package of taco seasoning and the water the package says to add. Cook down a little then put in a sprayed baking dish in an even layer. Top with two smaller cans of chopped green chilies drained. Next layer chopped scallions then a small bag or a box of frozen corn, then can add a can of drained black beans (you can leave these out if you don’t like beans) then add a layer of grated cheese (I use mozzarella and cheddar) then top with a single layer of tater tots. Pour a can of enchilada sauce over the tater tots (use a small to medium can to a 8x8 pan if you use a 9x13 pan use a large can of enchilada sauce. Bake according to the tots directions. When done top with a little more grated cheese. Serve with sour cream, salsa, and any other toppings you wish.
You substitute a rotisserie chicken for the hamburger
Be creative with your cooking. You will be surprised what you come up with.

In sauce pan mix can or mixed veggies. Cream cheese. Can of cream of chicken soup. Can of cream of mushroom and you can mix in canned chicken..buy a rotisserie chicken and shred it or just grill some and cut into bite size pieces. Mix everything with the chicken. Put in a pie crust and top with another and bake 400 till crust is done about 20 min.In stead of crust they could just add crushed Ritz crackers to their bowl of the mix. Or you could even top with biscuits to bake ...my kids like the crushed crackers.

I’m not in school but my boyfriend and I are both 22 and broke lol so we’ve been doing these. The Fajita recipe is 400° for 15 minutes, stiring 10 minutes in. Then broil for 2-3 to brown some edges.

I have this cookbook and use it ALL the time. Most meals are 5 ingredients or less and they all use refrigerated dough. It’s $5.19 through thrift books. Much cheaper than what I paid for mine lol
I can send pictures of some favorite recipes if you’d like
