Need Budget-Friendly Meal Ideas: Tired of Chuck Steaks & Pasta - Looking for Cheap, Nutritious Recipes!

A cheap easy meal my kids loved growing up is rice a roni with cut up kielbasa in it. We only did beef flavored. Also cabbage and kielbasa is good and very good for you. The secret to cabbage and kielbasa is thyme. I sauté onions and a little bacon then add cabbage let it cook down then I add a tad hot sauce apple cider vinegar and about 1/2 cup of sugar I make big batches cause we love it. I add black pepper chicken base granulated garlic and thyme. It’s a huge hit we have it with cornbread 
 
I made veģ òut of veg I needs to use. veg beef with barĺey. or veg chicken with rice if you've have beef to Use its fast u usually add fresh small cubed potatoes small diced carrots and o onion and any gravy
 
How about some Ruben Sandwiches. Rye bread, walmart brand, $3.19. 1/2 lb.turkey pastrami, 1 can saurekraut, some kind of cheese. Swiss or any kind really, cheap thousand island at Dollar tree. Butter bread toast, add all ingredients. Toast. Be sure to drain sauerkraut. Should be enough for 6 to 8 sandwiches. Freeze pastrami unless you will eat in less than 7 days. If you don't like Rye bread walmart also sells whole wheat or 7 grain. Cheapest bread there is.
 
Soups and crockpot recipes really stretch! Google some. I made this last night. We have lots of leftovers. PS, sorry about my 3rd grader hand writing lol
 
Fry some potatoes add onions then when almost done add some eggs and mix it all together makes a full meal for the two of us
 
My fav cheap meal is ramen noodles but don’t use the sauce packet just cook the noodles… in a saucepan put oil chili flakes and soy sauce then mix in the noodles and a poached egg or an over medium egg n scallions so delicious n super budget friendly
 
Grecian chicken, don’t be intimidated it’s Super easy…chicken broth (cover the bottom of the pan with the broth) place chicken in, in a bowl mix together olive oil, oregano and fresh lemon juice …pour mixture over chicken and add garlic cloves to the pan….i just eyeball the ingredients, make it with love it’ll taste amazing…I also do the same thing with a pan of sliced potatoes
